Of course, you read—you’re a writer. But do you read as a writer? Slowly, approaching every line with intention, your writer’s cap on? Focused on craft, learning from every text, noticing authors’ choices, recognizing structure, questioning narrative design?  Besides reading deeply and broadly within CNF, to grow we must read beyond our genre, across forms and styles, including unpredictable choices. Explore what reading as a writer demands, how to create reading lists to support works-in-progress and overall writer development, and the ways CNF writers can grow by adding novels, poetry, short stories and more to their reading diets.
