Heather Bryant is a writer of short fiction and nonfiction. Her essay, “Habitat,” won the Southeast Review Narrative Nonfiction Contest. She teaches at Pace University and leads writing workshops in New York City, including Writing as Remedy, which uses somatic exercises to connect the mind and the body. Her handbook for teens with transgender parents is forthcoming from Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
